Meet Our Team
Dr. Brent Wise – Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Brent Wise was born in Germany and moved to the US at a very young age. He is a graduate of Life Chiropractic College West based in Hayward, California. He brings a lot of experience to our team and he is proficient in many of the most well-researched chiropractic techniques available. Dr. Wise enjoys practicing in the beautiful State of Alaska. His love for Chiropractic and the restoration of hope through education and hands-on adjusting is evident through his patient care. Dr. Brent Wise has been a competitive athlete all his life through sports such as Tennis, Basketball, Baseball, and Golf. In addition, he enjoys his time in the outdoors by fulfilling his adventurous side on mountain trails. Dr. Wise is humbled and privileged to serve the great State of Alaska through Chiropractic.
Dr. Joel Ingersoll – Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Joel Ingersoll was raised in Alaska and grew up in commercial fishing in Valdez. He worked in the Prudhoe Bay oil field for several years. He also worked manual labor jobs including runway and road constructions projects in western Alaska.
After experiencing the benefits of Chiropractic, he changed career paths so he could help others. He graduated from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon in 2007 with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He practiced in Oregon while continuing his education. Because of his passion, Dr. Ingersoll has a post graduate certificate in Functional Medicine and continually studies the most current literature, research and information regarding all aspects of health, nutrition, lifestyle, exercise, and general wellness.
Additionally, he is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in Physiotherapy. Dr. Ingersoll has been practicing in Alaska since 2011 when he and his family moved back to Alaska with his cat and dog.
Dr. Jessica Quinn – Doctor of Physical Therapy
Dr. Jessica Quinn graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH in 2020. She chose to start her career here in Alaska in search of adventure and to provide a positive impact to a unique community, one patient at a time. Dr. Quinn is an eager and passionate physical therapist that is fueled by the empowerment of the individual. She believes in treating a person as a whole and discovering each individual’s existing potential through movement. Live is filled with beautiful ventures and moving optimally allows one to live life to it’s fullest.
Dr. Quinn was born in Mountain Home, Idaho as part of a military family. At the age of 13 her family was relocated to Yorktown, Virginia where she finished high school and subsequently attempted a few different avenues while in pursuit of a meaningful career. Dr. Quinn ended up landing in North Conway, NH where she spent five years working as a certified personal trainer and met her husband. Finding joy in the work and waiting to further her skills Dr. Quinn decided to take her knowledge base to the next level. With a little nudge, and monumental support from her husband, Dr. Quinn went back to school with a goal of becoming a physical therapist. She now is certain that this profession is what she was meant to do in life.
Lori – Office Manager
Lori is the youngest child, and only girl in a family of six! Her father was stationed at Fort Richardson when she was 4 years old. She was raised in Anchorage until her family moved to America Samoa in 2012. She graduated Salutatorian from Lakina High School Academy. She then went on to earn her Associates Degree in Visual Arts.
She spent some time teaching in the Samoan School district. There she taught traditional Samoan arts to students ranging in age from Kindergarten to college. In 2019 Lori and her family moved back to Anchorage.
Lori is a natural at born nurturer, she grew up taking care of her grandparents and now aids her parents as well. This natural ability to care for others led her to a career at Arctic. Her goal is to assist in the healing of as many patients as she can and be the change she wishes to see in the world.
When Lori is not at work, you will find her reading, writing, or drawing.
Nalani – Chiropractic Assisstant
Nalani was born and raised in Anchorage. She attended Oregon Community College on a basketball scholarship, graduating with degrees in both Business Administration/Management and Sociology in 2020.
Nalani Joined the Arctic team because she enjoys helping others reach their health goals. Her colleagues always praise her for her speed and efficiency when providing care to the patients. She says that she considers the Arctic Team her family and is proud to be a part of a team that always focuses on providing excellent care to their patients.
When Nalani is not working, she loves to play rugby, pickleball, and basketball! She also enjoys going on adventures, hanging out with friends, and spending time with her family.
Khor – Chiropractic Assisstant
Although Khor’s origins lie in South Sudan of East Africa, he was born in Nebraska and Alaska has been his home since 2010. Khor joined the Arctic team because he loves helping people. He enjoys putting a smile on the faces of everyone he encounters. These attributes make him a perfect fit for us!
In his free time you will find Khor on the basketball court, or on the couch watching sports. Khor loves all the seasons, but fall is by far his favorite. He also enjoys feeling the breeze and watching the leaves fall from the trees
Alex – Chiropractic Assistant
Originally from Dallas Texas, Alex attended Tarleton State University before joining the Arctic team in 2016
She loves working with a team dedicated to achieving patient health naturally. It brings her great joy to watch the progression of a patient while they strive for a happier pain free lifestyle.
Alex has a passion for helping others, from her patients, to her church, to her friends and family, Alex is never afraid to go the extra mile to help wherever she can. In her spare time you may find Alex and her daughter Kennedy out hiking with their dogs Quincy and Baily, at the gym working out, or on the couch enjoying a good Netflix binge.
Tala – State Regional Manager
Tala is from the small island of Maui, Hawaii. However, she has called Alaska her home since moving here in 2010
She says that the Aloha spirit is very much alive in Alaska as it is in Maui. Tala graduated from the University of Alaska with a Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences and is currently working towards her Medical Doctorate as she is aspiring to become a neurosurgeon. Tala says that she is proud to be a part of a team that is always focused on excellent care, customer service, and a family oriented atmosphere. When Tala isn’t in the office, you can usually find her volunteering in the community with her pageant sisters, playing rugby, or fishing with her dogs!
Jacob – Chiropractic Assistant
Jacob’s family was stationed in Fort Richardson Base in Anchorage, Alaska when he was 7 years old. Ever since Alaska has been home. Summer is Jacobs favorite season! He enjoys playing rugby, fishing and camping with his dogs.
He is currently attending the University of Alaska Anchorage as he is working towards his entrance into Chiropractic College. Jacob says that he is proud to be apart of team that is always focused on excellent patient care and family oriented atmosphere.
Tania – Licensed Massage Therapist
Tania is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) as well as a Board Certified Therapeutic Massage & Bodyworker (BCTMB) with an emphasis in rehabilitation & recovery from sports injuries. She takes great care with each patient to customize each individual’s therapeutic session. Her methods include myofascial release, traction, cupping, heat therapy, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, traditional Swedish, as well as active & passive release.
It excites Tania to encourage and support others striving for a wholistic healthy lifestyle.
Alma – Licensed Massage Therapist
Alma has been practicing Massage Therapy both in Alaska and California for the last 10 years. She recently moved back to Alaska and joined Dr. Lloyd’s team of professionals. Alma specializes in prenatal, deep tissue, circulatory, Thai, and medical massage. Alma enjoys treating patients with a combination of spa-like techniques. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her son; together they go fishing, hiking, and snowboarding. She also loves to dance and listen to live music. Her goals are to bring holistic health and relaxation to patients in need.
Steven – Licensed Massage Therapist
Steven is a rehab specialist, a licensed massage therapist, a bodybuilding competitor, and an artist who loves to travel. He was born and raised in Alaska and has always had a passion for the health and wellness of others. Steven specializes in corrective form, strength and core work, nutrition, and utilizes a variety of different techniques during sessions. When he is not training others, Steven is either meal prepping or spending time at the gym.
Shannon – Licensed Massage Therapist
Shannon has been a Massage Therapist since 1999. She grew up in Southern California and moved to Alaska in 2002. She traveled throughout South East Alaska before settling in Anchorage. In 2005, she married the love of her life and began to make a name for herself as an LMT in Anchorage. Shannon is licensed in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Acupressure, Reflexology, Therapeutic, and Sports massage, often incorporating advanced Myofascial techniques throughout her sessions. Shannon loves helping others, spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, and enjoying Alaska.
Amber – Licensed Massage Therapist
Amber is outgoing and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since July of 2015. She is a true Alaskan who enjoys hiking, biking, camping, fishing, cross country skiing, and cooking with her loved ones. She also likes to travel and aspires to continue her education around the globe by experiencing different forms of healing. Amber is down to earth and loves conversing with new people, so tell her a little about yourself in your next massage!
Taylor – Licensed Massage Therapist
Wild Wanderer is another name for Taylor. Achieving her Massage Therapy education in the desert mountains of Salt Lake City, Utah. Her deep curiosity for life has guided her all over the last decade, living in the different corners of the U.S. and much more. She started her Career with Arctic as an LMT in Nome, Alaska. There she offered therapeutic massage for an entire year below the Arctic Circle, before transferring to Anchorage.
She specializes in but is not limited to; The Western modalities of Trigger Point Therapy crossing with the Eastern Healings of Reiki. Where together she combines the two in her own unique healing methods to aid the body into restorative and preventative health. What separates Taylor is her compassion, empathy, and supernatural gifts to find connections for problematic areas for those in pain.
While not at work, you can catch Taylor out on adventures in the beautiful Alaskan wilderness with her dog Almond Joy on the back of her horse! Taylor is honored to be a part of the Arctic Chiropractic Team and offer her healing gifts to the hard-working citizens of Alaska.
Michelle – Licensed Massage Therapist
Michelle was once a commercial fisherman and shrimper in the Gulf of Mexico. But since becoming a massage therapist in 2000 she can’t imagine doing anything else. Michelle specializes in corrective bodywork massage to not only alleviate pain and dysfunction for the short term, but to help restore proper functioning of the body for the longer lasting results. This is accomplished through the use of specific manual therapy/massage technique, muscle lengthening and strengthening, and client education and participation. Each treatment is tailored to the individual needs of the patient. Michell is dedicated to providing the best treatment possible to help others overcome pain and disfunction.
When she is not working, Michelle can usually be found on a mountain somewhere. She loves to mountain bike, hike, camp and fish.
