Meet Our Team
Dr. Brent Wise – Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Brent Wise was born in Germany and moved to the US at a very young age. He is a graduate of Life Chiropractic College West based in Hayward, California. He brings a lot of experience to our team and he is proficient in many of the most well-researched chiropractic techniques available. Dr. Wise enjoys practicing in the beautiful State of Alaska. His love for Chiropractic and the restoration of hope through education and hands-on adjusting is evident through his patient care. Dr. Brent Wise has been a competitive athlete all his life through sports such as Tennis, Basketball, Baseball, and Golf. In addition, he enjoys his time in the outdoors by fulfilling his adventurous side on mountain trails. Dr. Wise is humbled and privileged to serve the great State of Alaska through Chiropractic.
Dr. Joel Ingersoll – Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Joel Ingersoll was raised in Alaska and grew up in commercial fishing in Valdez. He worked in the Prudhoe Bay oil field for several years. He also worked manual labor jobs including runway and road constructions projects in western Alaska.
After experiencing the benefits of Chiropractic, he changed career paths so he could help others. He graduated from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon in 2007 with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He practiced in Oregon while continuing his education. Because of his passion, Dr. Ingersoll has a post graduate certificate in Functional Medicine and continually studies the most current literature, research and information regarding all aspects of health, nutrition, lifestyle, exercise, and general wellness.
Additionally, he is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in Physiotherapy. Dr. Ingersoll has been practicing in Alaska since 2011 when he and his family moved back to Alaska with his cat and dog.
Dr. Dylan Caliva
Dr. Dylan Caliva graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 2016. Shortly after graduation he began his physical therapy career as a traveling clinician in Morehead, Kentucky. After Kentucky, Dylan worked in Arizona, California, Washington, and southeast Alaska before moving to Anchorage to join the Arctic Chiropractic team in 2019. Outside of work, Dylan enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, and kayaking with his wife.
As a physical therapist, Dylan focuses on restoring patients’ strength and functional movement patterns, improving body mechanics and overall ease of movement, and decreasing pain through therapeutic exercise, neuro-muscular reeducation, and manual therapy techniques.
Tes Copeland – Arctic Manager
Tes is considered ‘The Jack of All Trades’ and when she isn’t focused on helping patients or working on her posture, you can find her assisting with billing, working with insurance companies, and finding new ways to improve the patient experience. Tes is currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Alaska Anchorage and you can always find her with her nose in a book or doing anything that screams ‘DOG’. Tes spends most of her time with her four-legged canine, named Bear, enjoying the great Alaskan outdoors.
Alex Hamilton – Chiropractic Assistant
Alex is originally from Dallas, Texas and has been in Anchorage since September of 2014. She attended Tarleton State University and shortly after decided to move to Anchorage where her husband is currently stationed at Fort Richardson. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, watching Netflix with her husband, and playing with her two fur babies, Bailey and Quincy. Alex loves watching the progression of patients while they grasp a happier lifestyle.
Jas Brown – Chiropractic Assistant
Jas is originally from Alabama but has spent much of her life here in Alaska. She recently graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Natural Sciences, with the hope of pursuing her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
She is an avid international traveler and a fitness enthusiast. When she is not at work, you can find her at the gym, the shooting range, or booking her next trip to Timbuktu. One of her greatest passions is full immersion into different cultures and she deeply believes in making the world a smaller place through firsthand experience.
Pearl Foster – Chiropractic Assistant
Pearl has lived in Alaska her whole life. In addition to being a chiropractic assistant, she is also a full-time student at the University of Alaska Anchorage double majoring in business marketing and management. When she is not working or doing schoolwork, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends. Pearl believes that health is one of the most valuable things a person can have in life and she is excited about the opportunity to help patients transition to a life of ongoing wellness.
Amber Wedman – Licensed Massage Therapist
Amber is outgoing and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since July of 2015. She is a true Alaskan who enjoys hiking, biking, camping, fishing, cross country skiing, and cooking with her loved ones. She also likes to travel and aspires to continue her education around the globe by experiencing different forms of healing. Amber is down to earth and loves conversing with new people, so tell her a little about yourself in your next massage!
Savannah Wilmarth – Licensed Massage Therapist
Aloha ~ Savannah received her massage therapy certification at Kapi’olani Community College in Oahu where she has lived off and on for 7 years. She loves Alaska’s wilderness, Hawaii’s blue waters, and their family-like communities. She has had a knack for giving massages to family and friends since childhood. Massage therapy is a blessing in that it gives her a way to help people in a healthy and all-natural way. Her practice is to help our clients pursue their athletic goals, meet their needs in pain management, and promote homeostasis in the body. In addition to massage, she is a full-time student at UAA pursuing Physical Therapy Assisting to add to her therapy tool belt. Outside of massage and school, Savannah is always excited to pursue hiking trails, swim in the ocean, hit the ski slopes, and travel.
Shannon Hansen – Licensed Massage Therapist
Shannon has been a Massage Therapist since 1999. She grew up in Southern California and moved to Alaska in 2002. She traveled throughout South East Alaska before settling in Anchorage. In 2005, she married the love of her life and began to make a name for herself as an LMT in Anchorage. Shannon is licensed in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Acupressure, Reflexology, Therapeutic, and Sports massage, often incorporating advanced Myofascial techniques throughout her sessions. Shannon loves helping others, spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, and enjoying Alaska.
Stephanie Phillips – Licensed Massage Therapist
Stephanie has been a massage therapist since 2012 when she attended The Alaska Institute of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture, and Massage Therapy right here in beautiful Anchorage, Alaska. She has been interested in massage since she received her estheticians’ license in 2007. Stephanie uses aspects of Chinese medicine and cupping techniques in her massage as well as flares of Thai massage, as she is a seasoned Acro-Yogi in the community. Stephanie likes to be hands-on in patients’ treatment and is always happy to share her extensive knowledge to make it a more personal, individual experience. She has been through the first training course for Cranial Sacral Therapy which can help disperse headaches. When Stephanie is not in the clinic working her magic, you can find her up on the glaciers and exploring the last frontier on all kinds of scenic adventures, rock climbing trips, or hikes. Stephanie is a passionate healer and will be a wonderful addition to your treatment plan. She is also participating in a Chinese medicine internship in January 2017- so she will have a lot of exciting information to share with all of us.
Steven Dearborn – Licensed Massage Therapist
Steven is a rehab specialist, a licensed massage therapist, a bodybuilding competitor, and an artist who loves to travel. He was born and raised in Alaska and has always had a passion for the health and wellness of others. Steven specializes in corrective form, strength and core work, nutrition, and utilizes a variety of different techniques during sessions. When he is not training others, Steven is either meal prepping or spending time at the gym.
Tania Honeycutt – Licensed Massage Therapist
Tania is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) as well as a Board Certified Therapeutic Massage & Bodyworker (BCTMB) with an emphasis in rehabilitation & recovery from sports injuries. She takes great care with each patient to customize each individual’s therapeutic session. Her methods include myofascial release, traction, cupping, heat therapy, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, traditional Swedish, as well as active & passive release.
It excites Tania to encourage and support others striving for a wholistic healthy lifestyle.
Alma John – Licensed Massage Therapist
Alma has been practicing Massage Therapy both in Alaska and California for the last 10 years. She recently moved back to Alaska and joined Dr. Lloyd’s team of professionals. Alma specializes in prenatal, deep tissue, circulatory, Thai, and medical massage. Alma enjoys treating patients with a combination of spa-like techniques. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her son; together they go fishing, hiking, and snowboarding. She also loves to dance and listen to live music. Her goals are to bring holistic health and relaxation to patients in need.
