Meet Our Team
Dr. Matthew English – Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Matthew English, D. C. works with people of all ages, health states and fitness levels, providing guidance, motivation and accountability, leading them to success. Dr. Matt provides his patients with a foundational approach through Chiropractic with an emphasis on each individual’s needs for muscle work, exercise, nutrition in order to enhance their quality of life. As the Dr. Parker principle goes. “Loving service is my first technique,”
Dr. Matt obtained his B.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK. During his time at UCO, a sports injury sidelined him from staying active. He ended up in a Chiropractic office as a patient. This is where he saw first-hand the power of the adjustment. Limping into an office and walking out no longer needing crutches, he was a believer. Since that experience the importance of regular chiropractic care was apparent and the drive to share this experience began. He set his eyes on chiropractic school at Parker University in Dallas, TX where he obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic.
After graduation, Dr. Matt practiced in Arkansas and Colorado, before settling down in the great state of Alaska. Calling Anchorage home with his wife and two sons. Dr. Matt Enjoys his down time with his family and exploring the serene beauty of Alaska offers through trial running and hiking.
Vanessa Rumfelt – Chiropractic Technician
Vanessa was born and raised in Alaska. She became involved in chiropractic after several friends referred her to care due to several injuries. She is now a firm believer in chiropractic care. After years of working as an insurance adjuster, she has found her true calling!
She loves working with the team at Arctic and helping patients heal and get back to what they love to do! When she is not working, Vanessa spends her time outdoors, at the gym, and hanging with her super human amazing son, playing soccer!

They have a great clinic manager who keeps my health savings account card on file to use for my insurance’s 25$ copay. I try to get a massage weekly because it is just so worth it. I don’t get chiropractic services so I can’t comment on that part but everyone at the clinic is great to work with. Would highly highly recommend.”

After trying at least a dozen therapists that have ranged from so-so to hilariously terrible in a lack of ability to connect to their patient's body, I was ready to give up and assume Anchorage didn't have anyone that knew what they were doing. Zach is in tune with my neck strain/postural issues from sedentary computer based work and can also address athletic based/overuse/underuse issues. He is one of the rare folks that will give you a whole hour instead of the standard 50 minutes. Those ten minutes mean a lot to me. The other staff at this office have always been friendly, although I cannot speak to the chiropractic services here, as I come for massage only.

Today's visit Dr. Baron took the time to show me an exercise I could do at home or work to help me on my way to feeling better.

I am so glad that I decided to make an appointment, I couldn't be more satisfied. For the last 10 years I have seen many different kinds of doctors for many reasons and Dr.Reed was the first to take the time to actually get my full background to try to find a real diagnosis for my ongoing health issues. In the past all of my test results have come back normal but the pain and discomfort I feel constantly tells me otherwise! She took extra time to get to know me and my previous health history to properly treat me. She also showed me stretches to do at home to help give me relief daily! I honestly can't say enough good about the staff here. The adjustment she did gave me instant relief and I look forward to my next treatment! I also had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Hawkins! These two are extremely genuine and personable and I will refer everyone I know! I do apologize as I do not remember the office managers name but she was great as well. She was very sweet and eager to get me scheduled as soon as possible when I spoke with her on the phone yesterday and when I called today to say that I would be late!! Such a great TEAM!
