Native Youth Olympic Games

Alaska has quite a bit of history, and the NYO Games brings Anchorage annual cultural fun!

Starting in 1972, the NYO Games included various sporting events based on Alaskan Natives of past generations. It was a way to test survival skills, hunting skills, endurance and more. With loads of traditional Alaskan activities, the competition is available to all Alaskan youth in the grades 7th-12th.

Come one, come all and show Anchorage what you’re made of by showing off your athletic skills in this fun and friendly competition!
