Summer Solstice
It’s the longest day of the year in Anchorage, summer solstice- first day of summer. Alaska gets a full 22 hour of daylight, where fun in the sun is in full effect! Join the celebration of outdoor activities encompassing all things summer; concerts, festivals, hiking, biking and more!
There is something for everyone all day long in this large block party of fun! There is even the Mayor’s Marathon just a few blocks away if you want to get your solstice started early!
Performances from artists and musicians alike make it a party on Fourth Avenue. The kids can jump and play in a giant sandbox, puppet shows and more! Even the local police force, military and firefighters join in on the fun with career themed games!
